Pat good work & great photography.
Hey guys, I just returned from my yearly photo tour. I decided to stay in Florida and go with a guy in South Florida who is a self-taught photographer who I meet the F3C convention a couple years ago. I definitely learned some stuff like using fill flash, getting at the eye level of the bird you are shooting and a more critical eye for finding beautiful clean backgrounds. I will be going thru photos over the next week or better. Took over 2200 images. Here's an example.

The first morning we went to North Beach in Ft DeSoto Park. This location is on the Gulf side of the state and has inland salt marches which give quiet areas for the birds to feed. We saw snowy egrets, white egrets, little blue herons, great blue herons, red breasted mergansers, pelicans and various shore birds.

Excellent use of background for the subject .
Your photos are great ..
I kind of giggle a little when I post pics or videos and think they are like fingernails on a chalkboard.
The pelican is scary !
Beautiful! That worm is super long!!
The afternoon of the first day we went on a small boat ride to a rookery on a mangrove island. We saw plenty of pelicans, spoonies, wood storks, white egrets etc. There was some nest building and some birds were sitting on nests. We were not allowed to get too close and saw no babies yet.

All are great but I like the birds in flight. I bet it takes lots of patience to capture just the right photo..
