    Any idea what they will look like together? Rose red looks darker because it is in mating mode.

    The royal red is a PB (pigeon blood) strain, and the rose red is a wild type (non-PB), so good chance the fry would be heavily peppered. Not a good match genetically speaking.

    You could put the royal red female with your royal red male in the breeding tank now you know it's a female?? Otherwise just leave them do their thing unless you want to pair them with another fish
