Thread: Racking ideas

    Default Racking ideas

    I’ve got 2 4ft aquariums, ones 55g the other 60g.

Ideally I’d like to have them on a racking system, or worst scenario one on the floor and the other stacked above it.

Could anyone advise on a stand / rack idea that could take the weight?

    Thank

The rack in this old thread is beautifully designed. Check out post 38 and the one with the feet he designed to keep the bottom rack above ground level to protect the wood from floods. If you have tanks, you have to count on having the occasional flood. No plans, but for me, a good picture is worth more than plans.

Carpentry is not my idea of a fun project, and I have a couple of carpentry projects on my "must do" list for the next couple of months. One is a rack for a QT tank with a water storeage underneath it. I'm glad you asked this question when you did because this design will help me do it right. Good luck! Be sure to post pics as you go along. http://forum.simplydiscus.com/showth...cus-Room/page3

I'm not sure if this is what you're after but it may give an idea...
