Discus body, is this normal?

Hi all,

I just notice this sort of depression on my discus body, is this normal?
It was bloated this morning and I added 1 spoon of Epsom salt to the tank.

No, this is not normal. More noticable on solid color Discus especially on Blue Diamonds, result from either inbreeding or
bad cross breeding.

It's seen often, though. It's not a problem physically but it if you wanted to breed, that fish would not be your best choice.

Thanks guys, not really looking to breed at this stage. Bit disappointed anyway as they are IP discus and suppose to be good quality, I know they are only young but I did my research and paid few extra bucks for them.

It's a more common fault than you know. They get away with it because most people don't even notice. If you like the fish otherwise, by all means keep it.
