    Default Prime smell

Im using Seachem Prime at the recommendation of many.

It is supposed to smell like dirty butt/diapers right? I've been doing daily water changes and the fish are doing great just double checking. It's a pretty strong smell.

I remember that when my husband dug our well, at about the beginning of our life here, I told my vet that the water smelled like farts. She said that it was the sulfur in it. I've never looked at what's in Prime but I use sodium thiosulfate. It works for chlorine alone and it's dirt cheap.

You must have gotten into a bad batch. It is supposed to smell like three day old dirty butt/diapers. For some reason the makers of Prime forgot to put in the directions, "Hold your breath and then apply 2 drops per gallon of water."
