I don't see 5-10 nitrates being a problem .
Is that from your source or in the tank before water change ?
I have a 150 gal. tank. It is planted. So I do use RO water, and 2 water changes a week that results in 88 gal each. So I was wonder can I raised adults discus in 5-10 nitrates in the water? I hope I made sense I have a stroke and my mind is not that well. Ed

5-10 nitrates is a very good range. Is this, like coral bandit said, your tap water, water before WC, or water after WC? I’ve known other Discus fanciers with much higher nitrates.
Btw....you made perfect sense......sorry abt your stroke.

5-10 nitrates is not a problem. What is the temp in your tank and what else is in it? Also do you plan to buy adult discus or raise small one to adults?
Water before WC. I would like too put 6 adults in the tank. thanks for the reply Ed
You should be fine with 5-to 10. Don't go above 10 though.
Bill is correct. Your mind works fine.
