    Default pairing off

I have a 80 gal. tank with 8 discus in it. Just recently there are 2 that are paring off and are defending there own space where there is a breeding cone. One which I think is the female has been pecking on the cone of and one. Should a person move them to their own tank or let them bond more and perhaps let them lay eggs.

Discus don't usually get it right the first time so if no damage from aggression or defending is occurring then no harm in waiting .
To be successful you will probably need to move them but it could take more then a few tries before it really matters .

I would move them into their own tank. They'll enjoy the privacy and the other six will get their sanity back, at least until another pair forms.

I agree with Tom. Wait till your pair is proven
before moving, right now they are only flirting. If you think the pair needs more privacy add a divider.
