    Default Ram tanks

61677B56-D06E-44D5-802C-07B00DC7E37E.jpgGrow out tank for my two batches of rams I am raising. 40G by Innovative Marine 24x21x21” . Empty right now and waiting for the frys to reach two month then I’ll move them. I’m hoping it’s big enough for two batches of frys.. They’re about 2.5 weeks old

The ebr / dark cross frys was raised by the male. Took 6 times to get it. The ebr frys was artificially raised and was my choice. Parents should be able to raise them. One tank was bb and other had Samurai soil substrate. Both on tap water right now. WC everyday feeding the bbs, Hikari first bite and started them with crushed flakes yesterday

I found the blacks to be great parents or homicidal jerks .
Most other rams took a very long time to learn to raise fry if ever .
My EBR are the worst and I artificially hatch 90% and watch the other 10% get eaten .
Not sure why the blacks are so good at parenting but even doing a black with another color has better parent raising results then any other color variant I have ..
The long fin golds from my buddy in Hawaii have also been some of the best parents I have ever had .
Got no explanation on the difference as all are treated and kept the same but there really seems to be a difference in each color for me .
I might lower the water level in the IM grow out tank to 12-16 inches till you know the juvis are good in the tank .
How many are you going to try to group together ?

    Looking great...

It could be camera angle, or just my aging eyes, but is the breeder tank bowing slightly in the middle? It would be tragic to have an epic tank fail while you're out with that beautiful breeding stock...

Thanks for he info. Planning to lower the water on the 40 cube grow out when the time comes. Planning to move them at 2 months. At 2.5 weeks they look crowded on my 20G.

No bowing. It’s probably the camera. 8mm thick glass made by Innovative Marine black Nuvo 40_. No filter chamber and rear is not painted but tinted. The way it came with. APS stand is made out of aluminum also by Innovative Marine

I think Dan meant the 16 g tru vu .
It looks bowed to me also .
Acrylic tanks need full support under them as I understand .
The way you have it supported is questionable to me at best ?
