Frank I'm wondering if you shouldn't start thinking about incorporating some more foods maybe freeze dried or even live daphnia or some freeze dried rotifers and cyclops , but yet maintain the bbs

The pair gave me a good view today.
Seems that things are still moving forward. Just feeding BBS only. Daily WC of 30%.

Jeanne,
Perhaps. I have given some golden pearls a couple of times.
I have re-read the challenge threads. I was particularly impressed with Bryan's growth rate. If I understand the thread, he only fed BBS until they were near quarter size along with 2x a day WC. Here is a quote from that thread. "I feed my fry BBS until they reach about 1.5" and then slowly transition to solid food such as high protein beefheart mixed flakes, Tropical Discus Gran D-50 plus baby, Discus chow, and golden pearls."
Is this the right way? Not sure. Is it the only right way? No. I certainly want to hear from you and others. I am taking it day-by-day and am prepared to begin more foods (FDBW, etc.) at any moment. I am very much a novice with this. Your continued observations, counsel, and perspective are all very helpful.
The parents are doing great. I, as the instrument of their care and food, am very much learning.
P.S. I wish the Discus chow was still available. Only read excellent comments on it.

Looking amazing Frank!!
Some new developments I think. Yesterday, I looked over at the tank (tank is in my study) and all the fry were on the cone. Pecking on the cone. Maybe there were some BBS there? Gradually, the fry are still near the pair but they are swimming more around the pair. Then, today, some of the fry were just above the sand - pecking around. There is variation in sizes. We will see how things develop. Some pictures since we love pictures (plus, this is my first "fry book" ).
Had to show the female.

They are looking GREAT !
I hope you are enjoying them .I thought once my pair got it right they would be steady breeders but they just keep me hanging on for the next real batch .
I am thoroughly enjoying them. The plan is to ultimately move them to a 40g breeder with a divider. Parents on one side. Fry on the other.
I do want to keep them for a pair. They are great parents but it would not bother me if they waited for a couple of months. lol.
I do have a vacant 20g. Hmmm....
Happy 2 week birthday!!! Some birthday pictures.
