Discus Mumma might have an internal infection also. I will need to let her rest from the external treatment which is over tomorrow. I am glad I qt the pair. Hopeful for a good outcome. They were great parents. The male seems fine although not eating either.

Happy 5 weeks! I am trying to get a good estimate but the fry grew about .3 inches last week. The week prior (.80 inch). Today (1.18 inch).

Your kids are beautiful. They make me drool. I worry about the parents. Is the male still pooping? Is his poop the right color?

    Thanks Liz for your concern.

The male is the same - not eating but showing no signs of infection. Female, not so good. Meds are suppose to arrive this week but she is swollen and dark. Sad to observe. I might lose her which would be a sorrow. They will rest for a couple of days before the next round.

Sad news. My female died this afternoon from an internal infection. She was a beautiful fish and parent. She left 20 fry. (Sounds like an obituary). The male is showing no signs of infection outside of not eating and lethargic. Hopefully, the meds will get here on Wed to begin treatment. I do agree that the male is fighting this infection also.

THANKS to Pat, Brian, and Al for ALL their help, encouragement, and advice. As I communicated to Pat several days ago. "Death is the condemnation that will be removed (even for animals) at the coming of the Lord. Thank you for your empathy."

I am so sorry Frank. It hurts to lose a beloved fish especially one like this On the upside she leaves you with a beautiful gift...those 20 fry.

I'm sorry to hear this Frank. I was hoping to see a recovery but sometimes we get hit with a bad surprise. I lost one myself this past week to something I did not see coming...
