Yes, all I can get are those loose FDBW. My discus are so picky, they only like to fight for eating those in the cube form. Any worm that floats on top of the water, they care less

I use the surface skimmers like the Aquaneat ; https://www.amazon.com/AQUANEAT-Aqua.../dp/B071R6Y5JJ
    or the eheim 350 https://www.eheim.com/en_GB/products...kimmer_skim350
To take food of any type from the surface and toss it into the water column. I take he sponges out and they need very little maintenance and provoke my most finicky eaters to have interest in food offered .

I do remember that they ship dry goods to the US but not fish ..I saw some discus on his site I really wanted ..I tried to get a buddy in Canada to order them and then ship them to me from his job just over the boarder in Maine ..I ship fish to him at work and then he takes them home ..

Lol mine love the loose. I soak them and than pour into the tank they go all over so there’s no fighting for food . Even the cubes I break up and soak.

Good ideal, I will give it a try on all the left over loosing FDBW and see how they go. Hopefully they will show some interest on them until the cube come

I used to go to his place and hand pick the discus I want and ask as many questions I have with the discus. He is very knowledgeable on discus

Lucky you Tom and your discus May be mine are all spoiled since they were babies. Almost every time I feed my discus, they will splash water out of the tank and make me wet. I guess they are so exciting to see their favour food.

I prefer the cubes for ease and the fish seem to prefer them also .
But when they eat them some always float to the top since they are ripping the cubes up and then only a few will eat from the surface .
Even my pellet food is slow sinking so they get it on the way down or off the bottom.
The skimmer eventually gets all floating food and puts it right in the fishes faces..
I used the skimmer to get my picky Dantum and Altum angels eating ..If it wasn't for the skimmer I would swear they just like to look at the food !
The skimmer shoots it out with movement like a live food would have and maybe that sparks their hunting nature ??

I prefer cubes too, but I can no longer afford any kind of ABW's and my fish are still happy and healthy. What I miss most is the live CBW's that I used to buy. There was nothing better than watching the big fish hunt them and the 1" Discus pick them apart a bite at a time until they were all gone, just as that time has gone.
