Default Ordered from Macs up in Washington

Per the recent discussion here, I checked out https://macsdiscus.com/ again. He has a deal going on that persuaded me:

FREE SHIPPING… For all orders of 5 or more 2-3-inch Discus Fish

So I bought a group of five. Fish will arrive later this week. I'll post follow-ups if you guys are interested on how it goes from this vendor.

I did too. Got them last week. 5 healthy quarters that really are about half dollar size.

I would love it if you could update us monthly with pics. The price seems a little steep for nickles or quarters to me unless they are very good fish. Last I checked the going price was $10. per inch plus shipping. If that still holds true he's making his money from asking more for the fish and offering free shipping. Of course the proof is in the pudding.

The German green caught my eye. Nice choice on that. I also like the Hi Fin Cobalt.

Liz, yeah, steep for nickles but they're actually bigger. And the "free shipping" is really just worked into the deal. Balances out in the end (unless your a dumb@$$ like me who almost settled on 4!)

    I got:
    2 RCs
    1 RR
and... although I stay strict on brown based reds... I've always been infatuated with the pic he has for Emarld Greens which is the same pic since I had a subscription to LFS in the 90s... so I got 2 emerald greens

All 5 are THICK and lively. Eating everything... except my cherry shrimp which I wish someone did!!!!!

Like I said before, Elliott, I like Mac's greens. I too prefer the browns. i was very tempted to order from Mac, he's about 20 miles from me, but I am die-hard loyal to Kenny and Forrest. I consider both friends. Otherwise, I would give Mac a shot. I said that I like the greens. It probably won't work but I have paired an Albino Gold with a Blue Scorpion. Blue and yellow on the color wheel is green. I wondered it I would get from the pair some yellow, some blue, and a green?

I ordered last week from Macs as well. Talked to him on the phone first. Great guy and he gave me all the time I wanted and needed via phone call.

    Free overnight shipping.

Fish were in great shape and beautiful. Very healthy and alive.

    I got 3 Checkerboard Pigeonblood 2" and 2 Red Ruby 2.5"

Very happy with his service and fish. Not one problem seen with fish at all. They eat like race horses and I think they have grown already!

I am having problems with fish ordered from another dealer here in the US. But no problems at all with Mac's or Hans' fish.

Mac is a US breeder, which I like. Many, as you know, import which is hard for them to do while the virus rages on. If an importer has stock and has not imported for a few months their inventory would be low but talk about the quarantine time those hold overs have racked up over the past two months. One should be able to buy and plop them right into the tank on arrival.

Agreed. Five days after receiving my five 2 inchers and everything A-OK.
