I have seen the normal black poop so there shouldn’t be any hex. And I’ll just let the metro do it’s thing, and I’ll keep you all updated!
If that's the case, metro should fix it. Have you seen his poop? Discus should have black poop. If he is not pooping at all metro is the drug of choice.

I live in New York
I'm in Mississippi. We are too far apart for me to give you some Discus of the same size.

Hey Will I’m also from New York and your fish does look familiar. I’ve seen them in the stores by me. Whatwasthe store feeding it? If ifs it’s been there for the last 3 months it’s a strong fish. Were there other fish in the tank with it? I’m on Long Island what area of NY are you from. And if near me what store did you buy from.
Im in duchess county, I got the fish from pet goods. He is in with small angelfish of the same size. I absolutely love the little guy, his first day he was already schooling with the angels. I really hope I can get him to eat and eventually get big!
It must have been cool to see him schooling with the Angels. It sounds like he comfortable in his new environment. Angels are much more aggressive going for food than Discus. What are you feeding these guys?
Mama Bear
Right now I’m using the cobalt Discus Hans flakes, and every time I’ve fed there’s always been food by the discus, he checks it out but doesn’t eat it. Hopefully now that he has another day in the tank he’ll get more adjusted and feel comfortable enough to eat.
Will give the shop a call and find out what they were feeding it. If the angels are eating around him and he’s not eating it could be it’s used to one food or stressed by the angels. They are not good tank mates.
Yes peewee and still looking at big Ben .
I know that normally discus don't go well with Angels, but at the store he was in with some and seemed to be doing fine so I figured since they were similar size It should be ok. Plus if the discus were stressed by them wouldn't he avoid them? Because they do seem to be schooling together. Ill get more pictures soon as well
How big is the tank and how many angels? Did you buy them together?
Sometimes it works but the angels are more aggressive. Even amongst themselves. So as they get bigger keep an eye on them.
Yeah so it was the two Angels and the discus in the store, I just bought the discus out of that tank because I have two almost identical ones and around the same size, so I figured it should be ok, plus they've never been aggressive or territorial at all towards anything.
So I’m happy to say that the discus is starting to eat, and has had plenty of food even with the angels!
