Looking good Vinnie...it's a good pairing as well, both Pigeon Blood strains...would prob produce some solid colors and some orangey yellow...not sure if Tom meant glowing, but the yellows color is popping fo'sho!! I like the jet black finnage as well

I hope the pair breeds with Rob in the tank .
I am real interested in how that would turn out .
Who doesn't love fancy goldfish ? The grass roots of fish keeping for many of us as kids ..
It is supposed to be fun ...

The yellow one will not let him near the filter.
I doubt that he would eat the eggs.
    We shall see.

    Gotta get eggs first!

    OK!
Eggs in the tank downstairs with the two big fish I got from Miranda!
They are not on the filter as I thought she would do. They are on the glass next to it.
All the eggs are white, so I doubt they are fertilized.

    But, it's a start, yeah?

    I have learned this...

Not all goldfish are created equal.

Things worked out so well in the tank downstairs that I got a goldfish for the big tank upstairs with 12 discus in it.

    That guy ain't doing' crap!
He loves to eat all the food I feed the others.
Poop everywhere. I have not seen him eat a piece of poop in a while.
The tank downstairs is staying pristine.
I don't have to vacuum it when doing a water change either twice or once per week.
That goldfish (Rob) is getting huge!
    He loves doing his job

The one upstairs just may have to go back to the lfs for another model.
Well, that may be a little harsh.
Maybe I will put him in the new tank going into the work shop office.

From what I can see, it is not good to mix sizes of discus.
They seem to tolerate each other but not thrive.
This must be why most of the videos I see all have the same size fish together?

There are about 6 fish in my display tank that are 1/2 the size of the others.
Doing great until I got 4 large fish, then their attitudes changed dramatically.
They began to hide and not come out for feedings.
Still eating, but just cleaning up the scraps that flow their way.

No signs of the big ones bullying them.
Just lately I have a big checkerboard that has been bullying everyone all of a sudden.
Some of the smaller ones are tough and actually fight back and hold their ground.
The others just tend to hide and be submissive.

So, I plop and dropped 6 of them into the new tank out in the shop.
They are now all together and they have Rob to cheer them up once again.
I think they actually recognized him.
He was very happy to see them!

They are now, once again, the big boys an girls.
Let's see if they become happy fish as they used to be.

The bigger ones out-grab the food. If you are growing out the younger ones, they need to be in their own tank. They, then, can eat in peace to their hearts content.

Yeah the bigger and older guys will always out eat the younger ones. They should do better by themselves!

Were you referring to Vinni or to his fish?

You can consume less calories or get bigger guitars. I know which way I'd go.
