    Looks like some of them are. They should start hatching sometime today.

    You have a decent group of eggs there. About what I have except that some of mine started trying to swim free. I may have done it too soon but I took the cone out of the pitcher of RO mix and turned the tiny free swimmers loose in the breeding tank with the pair. I think that this may work out. Both parents are dark and staring at the cone. I'm afraid to have them see me watching them but they are so interested that I believe they will hunt the mavericks and blow them on the cone until they're really ready. I'm excited.

    The young pair had a much smaller spawn but they had enough fertile eggs to bother with. The entire spawn failed. When I removed the cone and examined it I could tell the eggs that were fertile from the ones that were fungused. I think that I would have had better luck with both spawns if I had put the air stone on the side of the cone closer to the eggs. I had it on the back of the cone.
