Default The fish room has gotten exciting

I have 2 tiny spawns of Discus growing and I hope, another on the way soon. I also have 3 Ram spawns growing out. 2 from the Dutch Rams and one very large one from the Jet Black's. I have a bunch of red platty's (whatever could I have been thinking?) I need to get to the LPS before I get overrun. Then there's the Pearl Grouramis I'm growing out because I like them and the ones I had were getting old. I fed most of the fry to the Rainbow fish so I only have a dozen or so. And there are the Rainbow's...I put a pair of Bosemani in a 29 and moved some floating water lettuce with them from the Rainbow tank they came from. After the pair did their dance I put them back in their tank and I got babies! Now that they are old enough for me to tell, they are not Bosemani's at all. Apparently I moved some Australian Rainbow eggs over with the water lettuce.

Never a dull moment in the fish room these days. If things keep going like this I'm going to have to set up a 3rd BBS hatchery. I'm having a blast. I love it!

Thank, Andy. It's wonderful for me to be so well entertained with the fish and the gardens, but I was really yearning for the fish to get going again. They have done nothing but made me feel like a failure until lately. I'm on top of the world because of them now.

I have a big pump to help get me do water change fast, so it's not as much work as it sounds. With my back I'd never be able to handle buckets.

Would it be practical for you to hire a pool boy. Everyone in California has them. Why not you too?

I don't have money to hire anybody for anything. If I did, I'd hire someone to do the chainsawing and hauling stuff the the burn pile I'm getting out at 6:30 to do right now. The fish are easy work.
