    would someone please explain the grading system that discus sellers use. and why do some fish have a grade while others don't?

    yes, i'm positive. this is from kennys website:

    4-4.5" Albino Millennium Gold (AB-grade)--$98
    5" 3R aka Royal Ruby Red (select-grade)--$185

    5.5"+/- Tiger Turquoise (select-grade)--$175
    4.75"+/- Super Red Passion (select-grade)--$128

    I guess if you're asking what the distinguishing characteristics are for each grade, or at least what is being "graded" you will have to reach out to Kenny himself. Certainly the shape of the discus would be at the top of the list, but what or if there's other things Forrest looks at, will have to come from Kenny...or Forrest

    Thanks Daniel, I am looking for the characteristics of the different grades [i know wood, not fish :-) ]. I will contact Kenny / Forrest.
    PS- is Forrest his helper?

    Kenny imports discus from Forrest so guessing Forrest grades the fish.
