Danny, you rock
Kerrie, try downsizing your photos to 2MBs or less prior to uploading them.
I have no good suggestions on the fish Kerrie. I have not encountered this situation. Could be swim bladder?? Brian may have a better idea and I will ask him to stop by tonight. You could try Epsom salt in case there is a blockage of some sort but that does not appear to be the case based on the appearance of the fish. How old are the fish?
Pat
Your discus are talking to you....are you listening
I can't really see anything from that photo. It has gone full head standing rather than just tilting. Do you see any kind of bulge in the mid section?

Danny does rock indeed!
Yeah, its a bit of a mystifiying issue Pat. Thanks for replying.
The fish doing the frequent headstanding has always been one of 2 bullies in the tank (certainly not shy or stressed!)
Always a good eater. Always very robust. (hes been to the vet once when his tummy swelled - the vet extracted some straw colored fluid which was tested for 'cancer' (! don't know how they can do that) and bacteria. He had an ultrasound as well (that may have been the indicator of no cancer) All results were subsequently 'clear' and a wait n see approach was advised. The vet felt it was possibly a block bile duct. The mass went away, come again some weeks later (which I was warned about) then went away on its own. That was months ago now, hasn't returned since. No further issues with this buddy until now.
I purchased all 4 discus (3 remaining) almost 4 years ago, got them when they were youngsters. No troubles until lately, when I lost my smallest one a few weeks ago.
Incidentally Brian, the other one (who is hardly eating) has a slight indentation, in the same area !! (the fish below, in the pic)
my head is spinning.

Brian, very very slight bulge! just checked. got the tank wrapped in foam & insulation to keep the temp to 32/33 degrees.
He does the full handstanding indeed. Other times he swims around normally. Eats normally, and poops (sometimes normal, sometimes stringy @ possibly due to chomping on the amazon sword)... appears more like the remnants of plants, doesn't truly look like worms imho.
Alas, I'm awaiting full worming meds via post next week.
Have dosed with metro the last week (Seachems Metroplex @ every second day, for three days)
Metro not easy to get here freely.

Brian are you good with guessing the sexing of these fish ?
My three remaining - two have small pointy 'genitals' (?)
One has a much more squared off 'area' ..
Any thoughts?
(Now that they've grown to the size they have, its easy to observe the shape & size of their private parts)
