Smart. The kids are big enough to do without parents.
The fry are 21 days old and doing well. The parents are back together, doing well and trying to reclaim a cone.

Growing like healthy weeds Pat! So cool to see how fast they grow
There are some real beauties in their Pat.

Very impressive how quickly they are growing Pat. Are you feeding them newly hatched brine shrimp or just the frozen type? What else are you feeding them at this stage? I don't think it will be very long before you'll need some more room for them to keep growing.
Enjoying seeing their progress.

Hi Joe, I hatch a new batch of BBS every other day. When I harvest the BBS I rinse all the saltwater out and keep the BBS in freshwater in the frig. So the BBS is alive the first day. The kids do not seem to require the BBS to be alive. lol. I am also feeding live blackworms. I do need to start moving them to prepared foods. The kids are in a 75 which is ok for now. There are several local SD members who have expressed an interest in the fry but will be keeping a small group to growout.

Your methods are certainly getting the job done Pat. Interesting about the live black worms, the ones ive ever purchased were always large, but i know they were liked. Care to tell me your water change schedule?
Who ever is lucky enough to get their hands on these guys will end up with beautiful fish.
Thanks for all the updates, its certainly fun to follow.

I have a feeling I might be in line. But if Pat throws one of her maniac tizzy fits she's so well for here (jk) I'll be kicked off the list forever.

Thanks Joe, I have counted 93 fry (100 is a nice round number) and today they are four weeks old. They are really looking like little discus. They are in a 75 and I change about 60ish gallons per day. You guys may know Cary Strong and I have sent him videos of the fry to eyeball or see if he sees any defects. So far so good. His only suggestion is to cull the smaller ones as they tend to not grow. I am not worried about them at this time providing they are healthy. So there you go.

I notice in the videos there is something on the bottomof the tank. Is this a small amount of sand ?
