Default Is this pair ok to try...?

    Hi all of you,
First of all, I'm a newbie to the discus. Just three months of experience. I purchased a few discus from a nearby seller. Two of them paired*and laid eggs 3 times in my community tank. I purchased it as 5 cm, and right now it's 8 cm. Last time, they*were*a success to hatch the babies and wrigglers attached to the body. But no one survive in the tank.
So next time I plan to give them a separate tank and try to raise at least 1 baby*from the batch. But before I want to know, was this strain ok? Whether their babies are having some pepper? One of them is leopard, and I don't know other strain.

Another key (at least on this site) is to resize your pictures to a maximum of (1920x1440 pixels). If you resize it, images will be smaller than 2 mb.

Hi Bathiya, back to your original question; I do not think either fish is a PB, one looks like a leopard and not sure about the other. Perhaps a snakeskin based on the bars showing (14 bar vs 9 bar). Guessing peppering will not be an issue.

Thank you Pat, If I was you.. did you try this combination or not..? I'm worrying because of the dark color fish. there is no pattern or color in his body.

I find that dark fish very interesting. It looks like some kind of Red Cover/Blue SS cross but if you are breeding for pattern that dark blue fish would not make a good mate for the checkerboard.
