Filtration setup questions

I am gathering my thoughts for a new 130 gallon I’ve ordered. I’ve done lots of other cichlids and community freshwater before that. I am not in a hurry but:
I have looked around but I can’t find these answers (but I may be missing them, so a link to another post would be great also!)
What would be the ideal GPH from my canisters?
Would it be preferable to put one inlet and one outlet on each side (I think so) or both outlets on one side and both outlets on the other, creating a direction of flow? I’m not sure which would get better circulation.

Two canisters? My tanks with two canisters have an inflow and outflow in each back corner; they don't have to be from the same canister with the outflows positioned, so they create a circular flow of water so that there is even water flow within the tank.
