If I am buying 4-5 pcs 4-5" inches Discus. What should be the size of QT? Can I use 20 gals on it? Thanks

Mama Bear
I’m now at 4 at the 4” size in a 45g. I would say the smallest would be a 30g and changing 20g daily.
Thank you!
I would definitely prefer a 40g breeder for this. Once water quality goes bad in a small tank, it doesn't take a long time for things to start going south really quick. The extra water gives you extra buffer room.

With water change the 20 gallons will work for 4 to 5 of that size.
