    Default Pork?

My wife has been asking the local hunters for deer hearts and someone mentioned they have almost and endless supply of wild pigs they routinely remove from their property.

Has anyone used pig hearts as a replacement for deer or cow?

My friend uses pork heart...... The main reason for pork heart is to cater for people who could not use beef due to religious reason.

You can feed any muscle, including heart muscle, as long as it's lean. Venison works well because it's much leaner with meat from livestock. Ground beef now comes in various grades based on fat content and that works as well. Turkey also works, although its almost too lean. Chicken also works, but raw chicken poses a danger to the hobbyist due to its high bacterial count.
At my age, everything is irritating.

my son in law is a hunter and gives me sometimes moose meat that is left over .
is works great for me , lean and easy to process , i mix it with frozen fish and shrimp also spinach .
it is their main food and my fish thrive on it !
