Cubefilter vs ati sponge filter

Anyone have any opinions about a swiss tropical poret foam cube filter vs ati sponge filter??

I haven’t used the Swiss stuff but from what I see. Just another sponge. I use the api sponges and they work fine.

Some of my plain old cube filters from many different places are almost 20 years old. They all do the job that their supposed to do. Of the lot I think I like the Angels Plus cube filters best. IMO Swiss Tropicals filters are worth the money for some things but not plain old cubes.

Thanks, I'm probably overthinking this. For the price I can just get some replacement ATI pro sponges and call in a day.

I order replace ATI Pro sponges by the case from Jehmco and leave them in my water conditioning tanks to soak and sink. No reason to use the more expensive Poret sponges unless you're looking for large forms.

I always liked the API Pro sponges(coarse) than their standard ones.
