Cheers mate,

Hi I知 new here but not in tropical fish keeping
I currently have a 200 gallon with 8 large discus.
I知 wanting tank mates for them
I was going to get German blue rams but was told they wouldn稚 last long.
Has anyone had success in keeping discus and frontosas together
I have a group of small frontosas kept in same water condition and temperature
As frontosas are not agressive and are more shy this is why I知 asking.
Many thanks

Frontosas require hard, alkaline water. Discus require the opposite. And frontosas become aggressive sooner or later.
In life, you can either do things the correct way or try "to get away" with ignoring common practices. IMO
Rams, tetras, corydoras, apistogrammas and bristlenoses all work in my discus tanks.
At my age, everything is irritating.
I have frontosas & discus for over 20yrs but no way in the same tank. I would try oyhers.
I’ve got rams,Cory’s,bn pleco,SAE bosemani rainbows and ottos in my tanks. All doing well. Oh and cherry shrimp .
