On average how many discus do you lose in a year?

So far I've lost none in the 7 months I've been keeping them (hopefully I didn't just jinx myself).

OK I'm intrigued, how does a Discus commit suicide?

Easy - they jump out of the tank. I've had lids on my aquariums before and I've still had one that managed to jump through the lid.
