Default Blue Snakeskin darting around tank

I’ve had five adult discus in my 75 gallon tank for several years. About a week ago I noticed my two year old blue snake skin darting around the tank. I didn’t think too much about it but he has visible “scrapes” from swimming into things during his “fits.”

Everyone else in the tank seems fine.

Has anyone experienced similar behavior or does anyone have an idea what might be causing it and a possible solution?

I have never had that myself but I have read plenty of posts about it. It's often caller whirling disease. Nobody knows why it happens. It does not affect other fish in the tank. The sad thing is that there is no cure. It's like it's some weird genetic thing that affects the brain and make the poor fish have grand mal seizures. I'm sorry.

I have read several posts since my somewhat “panicked “ post yesterday. Thank you for the response.
