Liz, you hit the proverbial nail. I would venture those fish are in the 500+ range.
I think it would be informative if the owner told us How Much.

It surprises me that fish of that quality are available for sale anywhere. I imagine that pic is of the best of the best and the ones for sale are of lesser quality. It's just my guess though.

Gorgeous is not strong enough I'm lost for words
Anyone knows who breeds these? It only says "owned by Alan Lepore" - but I can't find him among breeders and can't find any other info than the few youtube videos and a facebook post.
Where does one get access to a breeder who made these? Any ideas?
Unfortunately, the best quality discus does not come to North America. I know Asian exporters prefer to service the Japanese and European markets where they get higher value for their fish. Santarem, probably the premier wild discus exporter, tried to open up the North American market and has no distributors left for their best fish. (Wattley's recent import of wild discus was their B-grade stock.) Previously you can place special orders with Kenny for premium discus, but that avenue is closing.
It's not that there are no individuals here willing to put down $$$ for high quality discus. But the overall market size for elite fish is small and exporters rather spend their time developing bigger markets.
At my age, everything is irritating.
It's understandable of course, but it sure is a shame.

Anyone knows where they came from? I am from Europe - and I also wouldn’t mind paying the said price for a couple of these beauties... but even with all the googling I couldn’t find any info who actually bread this cross for Alan. Any ideas??
I'm not a discus expert. But I would venture to say that those are some
very rare fish. I'm not a breeding expert either but I would venture to say
that the next fry that came from these parents wouldn't come close to these.
