    Default Making medicated granulated food

    Hey!

I've seen methods of adding antibiotics to quite large pellets. This is for koi and what they do is they add the powder to pellets, and then cover with some oil, gelatin or agar. https://www.hikariusa.com/articles/medicatedfeed.html

Do you think the method with oil or any other method would work for discus granules? - The oil method would be the best if you consider that it won't go off. Will some extra fat in the discus diet be harmful?

This would be a very convenient way of administering metronidazole or antibiotics without having to change feed or preparing gel foods.

    What do you think?

    Erik

Just found this thread, even though I have been on this forum ALOT lately as I get ready to get discus again. Hope some smart people will reply to this as I find it very interesting. BTW, my iPad informed me that my usage is up 178% this week …… which I blame on this forum.
