Lost one today. This is the worst.

Today one of my largest discus jumped out of the tank. I have a lid on it but he was able to hit it hard enough to fit through the temporary gap. He fell into a bucket I had near the tank. I only noticed the lid was ajar when i went to feed them, I didn’t noticed he was missing until I glanced down and saw him in the bucket. I raised that fish from an inch long to the size of my hand. A beautiful blue turquoise. I am devastated.

I lost my father to covid less than a month ago, and my uncle a year before that. I had to put my dog to sleep last year due to cancer.

This is just another hard loss to take.

You've been through hell. All I can do is offer my sincere condolences. Sometimes you just can't help but wonder how life can throw so much of the worst stuff at us. All we can do is keep going. It's hard. I'll be thinking of you.
