This is from a Facebook member and I'm posting here are a public service announcement - There are 12 Stendker discus boxed up and stuck at the San Jose airport that need picking up before they die. They are free to whoever will rescue them. Time is running out!!!

I was getting calls from San Francisco Airport when I was a known shipper, so this
is actually normal.

I'm close enough in the Oakland, greater bay area. Just submitted a request to join the group on facebook. I'll take a look at it, but like I recently posted, I now have to travel monthly for work which makes fishkeeping harder. But if no one else can help/take them I'd be open to it.

I live an hour away so it was a long shot to begin with, but I think it would've been a bit selfish of me to try and take them. I saw on the FB page that it looked like some people were interested. That's really unfortunate if nobody did.

Such a shame. I don't want them but if I'd been in a position where I could have saved their lives I would have. Shoot, they could have been cared for for a week or so and then sold to a pet store. This upsets me.

From what i read and understand...Their owner was trying to get them on his flight without success, and was hoping someone could go pick them up. Hope they made it.

Some airlines will not ship especial out of USA, I know this as one buyer wanted to send their Discus to Isreal. Then there are
people that have not pick-up their fish after
a week the airport would contact some LFS.
