Question about moving discus from one tank to another

I’m in the process from moving some discus I’ve been qting. What I’m doing is bagging them and letting them float in there new tank. Do I need to do this? All my tanks are the same. Same here.
All our tanks are pretty much the same.
Used the plop and drop method many times with no ill effects.
I think it is much less stress on the fish.

I so the same. I open both lids, grad a net, net the culprit, lots of splashing occurs, and then their spines get caught sometimes in the net. And in they go.
