I just sold a 110 gallon with a FX6. It did a great job.
I upgraded from a 72 gallon to a 110 gallon tank. I used 2 -2217s on the 72 gallon, but was looking to upgrade. the 2217s seem to keep the 110tank a bit cloudier than i was used to in the 72 gallon tank. I have 4 adult discus now but I am getting 5 more. which is a better filter to upgrade to?
Thanks,
jim

Hey Jim. I’m using this wet/dry on my 125. They do sell smaller ones.3ABB6150-6460-439C-B243-9A6F8650E5DA.jpg. And tank clarity 164C346D-7DDC-4770-A528-3ED5C48F98C9.jpg
For me my one fx6 on my other 125 is not enough. It started out good but now after 2 yrs it’s just not working as well. Cleaned everything but still no happy. Have added a wet/dry for a 100g and an internal filter that move 350gph. This just o keep it clean.
thanks for the replies.
It's great, congratulations. I use 50 gallon fish tank.

Tom convinced me that my wet/dry sump is sufficient for my 125 gal. I don't have a huge roll of filter floss like him, but rather about 4 layers of floss under my drip, then seachem matrix. My wet/dry is smaller and I put in purigen/carbon as well. Seems to keep the water clear as long as I change my floss. I have 9 discus 3-6 inches, a school of cardinal and rummy nose, BN pleco and 7 cory's.
I use 50 micron pads in my 90 gal sump. They are washable & last for yrs. Ken has them at a good price. They also can be washed over & over.
