    Hello Bob.
    Great looking fish.
Congratulations on getting fry on the backs. It’s very exciting to see that.
I’ve been breeding fish on and off for 30 ish years and I still get excited every time.
Best of luck raising them up without nothing but joy.
Keep us posted as they grow.
    Respectfully, Matt

Yes, they're taking BBS and Hikari First Bites and growing like the clappers! I'm feeding HFB twice and a big hit if BBS once per day. There are still BBS in the water 3-4 hours later and the fry have big pink bellies.

Water change of 50%/day once the BBS are used up so they don't foul the water.

One of the funniest things is the BBS drive the male absolutely nuts. I don't know if they're itchy or something, but he gets honked off when I add them.

I feed bbs as well and yes, the parents hate it! They get visibly agitated.

Can you tell yet what percentage of the fry are say blue Turks, blue snakeskins, etc?
They are to small in the video to tell, and I’d guess the same goes for in person.
I’m very curious to see what the throw.
It’s a great cross in my opinion.
    Keep us posted please.
    Take care, Matt

Too early to tell - some are lighter and flash brightly when they catch the light.

Now to thinking about follow on foods from the BBS/HFB. I've never been a huge fan of beef heart and the adults that I have won't touch it. Regular Brine Shrimp and Blood Worms are too big so I'm going to start mixing things up dry food wise and see what they go after.

I even have some Rapashy that I may try in moderation.

Nice going, I can actually see some Blue Diamonds in the batch but very few. Please keep us posted.

UPDATE: Showing less dependency on the parents for food - good to see the fry foraging for themselves

Day 13, things still going well - any better ideas about who's what?

I have one "tail dragger" - I'm loathed to cull it and have called him Nemo because he tries so hard!!

It's been a long time since I've fallen in love with a pair, but if I don't hang on with all my strength I will fall in love with yours. I can't wait to be able to see what looks like what.
