Sorry but I’m not sure if there’s a problem. Medicating the fish may be causing more stress and thus stopping it from eating. The pictures of the other discus poo is correct. That what it looks like!! As to the white poo in your very first pic. Your fish wasn’t eating. So with no food going in but water still going thru it’s system it’s poo will be white. No nutrients. That’s why I said to hold off on meds. The fish looks fine in the first pic. The raising the temp adding salt all in the qt was the right move. Next was just time. Some fish take longer than others to come around. Discus.com is not recommended by anyone! Best to buy from anywhere else. The deworming med Liz recommended is good and a smart move. Many deworm all new discus.
Going back to the first post you say the discus were in the 65 for 3 weeks. We’re they new? Where did you get them from?
Can we get some new pics of the checkerboard.

I just took these today after I adjusted the lighting in the tank to show the true colors. She is very pale and hasn't grown at all since we purchased all six from Discus Hans on August 16th.

Well this does happen. Sometimes one or2 don’t grow as well as the others. Here’s a 1 year old Hans discus. This fish came with 7 others. It’s a white leopard. I bought 2 the other died. It’s no bigger than 3” the other 6 are 5-6+”. So for some strange reason some just don’t grow.6C92D67A-EE4B-4D0B-9EB7-F197BF65B1E6.jpg.

ok, I dosed the tank with the absolute wormer medication last night, so it has been 24 hours, no obvious changes noted with any of the fish. Since so much of the diagnosis has been relied upon the "crappy" poop pictures I provided (pun intended), I received my new microscope gizmo today and spent the day trying to collect poo samples. Here is what I found:

Feces to be examined must be absolutely fresh, since feces that have been in a tank for even just a few minutes may contain free-living nematodes that are not parasitic and are not a concern for fish health. Hole In The Head, several possible causes of the disease include poor water quality, vitamin A and C deficiencies, high nitrate or phosphate levels, carbon, copper and electrical currents in the tank. Prevention is better than cure.

Thanks for your insight. Both of the images were taken within minutes of collection from the tank after the poo was excreted from the fish. They couldn't be more "fresh" as a specimen. So, using that as a basis of correct and reliable source, what do you think?

You need to catch the poop when it has just come from the fish and before it hits the tank bottom.

I don't see anything in that sample.
