    Default UPDATE: 5wks

5 weeks free swimming. Only had 1 casualty - Nemo, the runt of the litter with a swim bladder problem didn't make it.

Preparing to separate the good from the not-so-good this weekend. Those with "flat tops" i.e. deformed dorsal fins will get cut.

All are feeding well, now onto 2 feedings of BBS and 2 of a mix of FDBH/Hikari Bio-gold per day.

    Daily 50% water changes.

Seems like the only the Discus with short fins are the ones with stress bars.

I noticed that too - weird coincidence?

Will they "grow out of it" or is the short dorsal fin permanent?

Unfortunately they won't grow out of it. They're culls.

I think this is do to inheriting from previous
generations. Place them in a suicide tank.
