Really like what William Palumbo did with his tank. There are pictures in this thread.

Go with the 90. The fish will appreciate the extra width. I absolutely adore my 90's.

I can also pick up a 120 instead? Would the 4 by 2 by 2 120 be better?

My 90's are 6' X 2' X 18" more or less. Great display tanks, great growout tanks and easy to clean for me since I'm short.

Should I alter the stocking if I were to get a 120? No more discus but would I have space for say a school of cardinals?

Tom, I've never done the math. They were given to me when both had broken end panels. The glass was easy to repair. The guy I got them from said that they were 120's then I was told by someone else that they were 90's. If I were to bother to do the math myself I would know for sure, but I know I won't. They sure are a great size tank, though.

Lol Liz!! I’ve got the calculator on the other site. I knew that was wrong . Those are 135s and nice tanks. Going from a 75 to and 90 really isn’t that big of a difference. Even the 120 cube is only 48” long same as the 75.

As to. Changing the stocking I’d stay where you are. With the 75 first. Keep six in the 75 and see how you like them. That 120 is more designed for a reef tank than a discus tank. Liz’s tanks are much better at 6’ long. Something to think about later. Make sure these are the type of fish you want to keep. Discus can live 10+ yrs with the right care. Don’t jump in. Take small steps. Learn all about them. The 75 with 6 discus is a great place to start. You’ll learn a lot in the first 6 months.

Hey I stopped by your Monster aquarium today. Ok it’s a lfs but it did have some stunning discus in the basement. Thing is if you don’t know there’s a basement your leaving there disappointed. What’s on the first floor was not impressive. Those discus were just so soB21530C6-F66F-4949-BB89-32DA93AFDF5C.jpg. Now the basement had some fish.FF930FD7-E1B2-47FD-BD0A-D7DC6E56E1C9.jpg33EEA44D-8E7D-4378-AB2C-F7D06C32D8BB.jpgCD3EA9A7-8AE8-4D88-B082-F63BEECA8E22.jpg7E3C8FEE-108A-42A2-912C-CE4765ED1FCE.jpgB09A9FAC-B7DF-4AB5-A6C5-C555689E1152.jpg. Great looking discus but seller had no info on the fish. Really fell back to the basic fish store at answering questions. Bought one from the second pic. Prices were high but I do believe worth it. Time will tell. It’s stressed now in my tank 2898643B-0313-44A8-81DD-C660D8E7BC68.jpg darker than in the shop. Thing is they had no mid size discus. So 6 is going to cost around $700. Lot of money for a beginner.
