What happened to the days of a 2 1/5 fish going doe 25$.
Maybe this forum has gone elite, rich ect.

Jay I guess it’s been awhile!! Dennis’s prices are inline or cheaper. Great quality discus! He’s not selling 2.5” discus. If looking for that small look to Hans. I recommend the larger fish .

Inflation is on the rise in every aspect of life. Have you seen the price of a pound of ground beef or bacon lately? The pandemic and the resulting panic have caused shipping and supply chain delays and shipping/receiving costs have soared. Quality sellers must adjust their prices accordingly or they won't be selling anything at all. Cheap, stunted and sickly discus are still available everywhere, but the cost of the meds necessary to keep them alive has more than doubled as well.

Quality discus sellers deplete their inventory almost as fast as they get them in. They must be doing something right!

All are gorgeous. My vote is for red checkerboard !!! Wish I was in the market. Right now I am raising huge velifera sailfin mollies and wild Mayae swordtails.

I did not mean to be rude. I am not that kind of person and I was not disparaging any of the sponsors.
What I meant to say is that 135$ fish are far outside most peoples affordability of mostly new folks on this site
They want to get into discus the first thing they see is ," oh boy these fish are way out of my budget" and
then they go back to guppies,ect.
And as far as buying from sponsors I seem to remember one of the best sponsors on here was Kenny.
He had 2-1/2 to 3 inch fish for 25$ to 35$.

Those Golden varieties are very beautiful. I wasn't aware yellow discus were available.
