Hi All, I’m new to this forum but not to the hobby.

I had my discus for well over a year. In my tank I have 12 discus which includes one orange pigeon blood and one yellow and one blue diamond. These 3 are the largest in size out of all my discus. I recently started noticing some pairing behavior from the blue diamond towards the orange pigeon blood, however the orange one looks to be more interested in the yellow one and swims past the blue diamond whenever he or she is trying get the attention but the yellow pigeon gets dominated by the blue diamond and blood gets chased off and is usually hiding in the corner most of the day.

I recently bought a 44 gallon tank and separated the 3 and 3 juveniles from the main tank. First and the most important question. Do I have a male and female that can possibly pair? Is the orange pigeon blood a female and the yellow pigeon blood a male? Is the blue diamond a male? Or do I have it backwards? Also, should I remove the blue diamond and leave the orange and yellow together or should I remove the yellow and leave the orange and blue diamond?

From what I read it’s difficult to sex discus but I’m hoping there’s someone in here that knows these fish better than I do. I’ve attached a few pics of the discus in question. Thanks in advance. 8AF352BE-87DC-45B8-B340-67714C75CBC9.jpg519DAF20-40FE-4309-9780-B742BA67A358.jpg1136FCF1-3E42-4E97-8A25-5136B31129E3.jpgA6A76696-105D-4783-A9FF-4B0A7DC184B4.jpg2A91B04C-D618-46B5-B4D8-C517E69814BE.jpg8AF352BE-87DC-45B8-B340-67714C75CBC9.jpg519DAF20-40FE-4309-9780-B742BA67A358.jpg1136FCF1-3E42-4E97-8A25-5136B31129E3.jpgA6A76696-105D-4783-A9FF-4B0A7DC184B4.jpg2A91B04C-D618-46B5-B4D8-C517E69814BE.jpg8AF352BE-87DC-45B8-B340-67714C75CBC9.jpg519DAF20-40FE-4309-9780-B742BA67A358.jpg1136FCF1-3E42-4E97-8A25-5136B31129E3.jpgA6A76696-105D-4783-A9FF-4B0A7DC184B4.jpg2A91B04C-D618-46B5-B4D8-C517E69814BE.jpg
