I believe Microbe-Lift BSDT (Contains: water, formaldehyde (<22%), and malachite green chloride (<0.2%). and AP Pro Quick Cure have the same active ingredients but in different strength.
I used Quick Cure (formalin, malachite green) for years to hatch out eggs. I used methylene blue this last time and I hate the stuff, for obvious reasons. I miss the Quick Cure! Has anyone used Microbe-Lift Broad Spectrum Disease Treatment for any reason? It is made of formalin and malachite green. The directions say to treat 3.5 oz per 1,000 gal. water. So 21 teaspoons treats 1,000 gal (based on 6 tsp per oz), 1 tsp treats 47.6 gallons. 1 tsp has 100 drops, or almost 2 drops per gallon. Quick Cure recommends 1 drop per gallon.
Could Microbe-Lift Broad Spectrum be a water-downed version of Quick Cure?

Yes, that's what it looks like to me. Have you used it?

Same here. I think I'll get some when it warms up enough that it isn't freezing and give it a try. Does anyone know if koi use the same medication dosages as tropical fish? Given the dosage suggestions that come with it, it is marketed for koi.
Anyone tried Rid-ich in place of Quick Cure, I think both solution has formalin and Malachi green.

I have used both Kordon Rid Ich Plus and AP Pro Quick Cure in the past when treating new arrivals.
From what I have read, Kordon, AP Pro, Hikari, Microbe-lift that manufacture formalin and malachite green for fish diseases has different strength .

Martha, I still use MB for the difficult eggs hatching otherwise acriflavine solution is use this can be messy because it's a dye just like MB. Some breeders use peroxide for hatching eggs.
