Breeding tubes
5 of my new discus are out of QT. Two shake and gyrate around each other- not the full body wave I’m going to attack you kind of movements. I noticed maybe breeding tubes- and even something sticking down from my eruption. The three seem to have claimed an area and are chasing others away. Would love to hear people’s thoughts. Thanks! Re: Breeding tubes
If I remember correctly, pointy ones are male, the squared off or flat ended are females (larger opening for eggs).

Your YouTube video is private. You need to change its settings to Public.
Shimmering side by side and eventually bowing towards each other are typical mating dance behaviors.

I didn't want to insult you earlier but I could tell from your description that your Discus are in the mood for a little hanky-panky. Have fun. I hope you don't miss them doing the deed. The whole process is fascinating.
