Hole in Head?

I noticed this 3 days back. Started metro but nothing changed. He still gets excited by food but doesn't eat. Is it hole in head?

It could be. HITH isn't curable overnight. I would turn heat to 88 and run a full course of metro. Daily water changes and see how it reacts.

It may take some time to cure and there may be scarring. Hopefully the heat will increase appetite.

One way or the other it sure looks inflamed. It doesn't look to be terribly long standing. I think that I would go with a Metro treatment. But it it's really HITH Brain is correct. It is hard to cure.

Thanks everyone for responding. I did metro fro 3 days. How many days shall i continue. The temperature is around 90

500 mg per 10 gallons for 14 days. This is twice the dose on the jar and a way longer period of treatment. Don't worry about it hurting the fish. Metro is a very gentle med.

Agree with this- q do do 12 day treatment- be sure to remove carbon and purigen or anything similar
