    Default xps foam for tank divider,

    Hi from what i can research , it says that this foam is safe for aquariums as people use it to carve backdrops etc but i just wanted to be sure.

    It is XPS .

    i decided just to use some filter sponge to be safe, i may end up putting some acrylic in and silicone it but this will do for now.

    I've used that foam board for a background put always put it on the outside of the tank. I think you were wise to use filter foam.

    I have seen someone slip a panty hose over their egg crate divider.

    Thanks, I do like the pantyhose ideas.....I already ordered the foam, I saw the idea on this site from a old post.

    Looks to work great my only concern is that if I have a pair each side, and one gets sick it will cross contaminate thru the sponge......
