Discus are shoaling fish, not schooling fish. You can google the def.
Hey All,
I've read a lot on this forum and other forums about trying to maintain "normal discus behavior". I'm not sure what that is especially in a glass cage. My fish are territorial, spawn, have paired off mostly and defend themselves and their mate, shimmy/shake to entice breeding, swim around and through the drift wood. Some stay on "their side" and territory. They eat each other's eggs and their own eggs. They don't swim back and forth like a schooling fish.
What is normal?
Thanks!!!
Mike
