I have one of the larger standard shaped mailboxes. I have to look in and check the back of it once in a while because they somehow get in there!
A while back (this spring) my wife went into the mud room/pantry and spied a large black widow whom I named Natasha.
I snapped a few photos of her with my 180mm macro lens on a Pentax K-1, and then took the little vacuum and removed her.

We have them, but don't see them often. We also have Camel Spiders/Sun Spiders which are neither a spider nor a scorpion.

Great pic of a spider Dave. I love spiders myself but rarely see the black widows here. I find getting good pics of the smaller spiders is not easy. Larger ones are a little easier.
