New Juvenile Discus

Hey everyone,

Been super busy with college so just getting back to the forum. I appreciate all the comments as well as concerns when it comes to discus husbandry and wanted to share a quick update on the fish.

While I was gone, my mom did water changes every other day 50 or so percent and whenever I’m around (which is 2 or 3 months out of the year) I’ve been pounding them with 2 80 percent daily water changes and more frequent feedings. Moved them from the 30 gallon to a 50 gallon since they’ve put on some size and plan to keep them in this set up for a few more months.

I know they prob will never reach the 7-8 inch size as I had hoped due to my current water change dilemma, but still enjoying them nonetheless and hope they can reach healthy 5+ inch adults and start breeding.
