I woke up w/a surprised batch of eggs from my Koi Angels, too young to breed but I'm leaving them alone to see how they make out before giving them their own breeding tank....

I don't remember exactly but I know it took me a long time to get the air and water set up. It would have been easier if I hadn't had the carpenters put the tanks in place first. I knew that I couldn't get those big heavy tanks in place myself so I took advantage of muscle men while I had them.

Congrats on the Koi spawn. I'd love to see a pic.

Thank you for my beautiful new Discus babies Liz! They are just awesome! I have never had such perfectly round, beautifully colored and healthy baby Discus to grow out before. And I have had many over the last 30 or so years. These are top notch! And you know how to ship well, they arrived next day air, just like you assured me they would. Nice and warm and the babies felt right at home when I plop and dropped them into my qt after floating for about 15 min. They have been here for 30 hrs, have eaten about 6 times already and had a good first wc. I am very pleased. Anyone considering baby Discus to grow out, if you know how to do it, contact our friend Liz! I do want to stress you must know the correct methods to grow out quarter size Discus.

I'm delighted that you are so happy with them Barb. You're absolutely correct about raising Discus. I've suggested to new Discus keepers that they try their hand at keeping adults before they decide to try their hand at raising babies.

Hum, I'm not very tech savvy. Last I tried to post pix here it came out sideways, lol. But anyways, so far the fries servicing and there's about maybe a hundred? They're still young but going great as 1st time parents. I'll try to post pix once I figure out what I'm doing.

You drove a long way to get them, too. Be good to them and when they get big they'll reward you with lots of beautiful babies. I can't wait you have fish from my breeding for sale.

BTW, I'll be having your wonderful Royal Red's tonight. No way is better than the classic way with drawn butter and lemon. I put any left overs in shrimp fried rice the next day.

Got these in from Liz. BEAUTIFUL color and patterns and great shape for 1"-1.5" fish. Jump on them quick when the next batch is available, these fish are gorgeous. Can't wait to grow them out!
