Default Heat needed for 180 Gallon

Had planned on using 2 fluval 300 watts. Not sure that’s enough wattage. Plan B is one 800 watt and
A 500 watts connected to Inkbird. Thoughts
    appreciated.

The 2 500 watt plus ink bird will work. Another option would be 3 300 watt Aqueon Pro's.

Thanks. Room temperature never below 70. I need 15 degrees. Charts say I need 320 watts. Reason for two 300 watts. Redundancy, as safeguards

The chart is wrong. For Discus 5 watts per 10 gallons is what's recommended.

I don't want to put words in Liz's mouth, but I believe she means 5 watts per gallon, not per 10 gallon. I've got 600 watts in my 75. During winter it might be heating it up 20+ degrees, though.

Sorry, Jacob. My mantra is "If it has a number in it, I will get it wrong". Thank you for correcting me.

    I’ve got a 300w in my 50g . In my 180 I have a 500w in tank and a 300w in the sump.

I’d humbly suggest the chart above needs updating or clarifying. My rimless 150 setup unfortunately requires 3 300w to run. Room is around 70 degrees, tank 84-85. Looking above I might be tempted to only get 2 150s .
