need help with HITH

I have had this fish in quarantine for about 6 months she has never seemed to improve. A few weeks ago i noticed pits on her head so i treated with pure metro from Jhemco as per the instructions which is 1/8 tsp or 1/2 gram per 20 gallons for 14 days with temp at 92 i did not use salt. The pits have not gone away and are just getting worse. I treated her with metro also about 6 months ago. I think i may have let hith go for two long and now i cant get rid of it. What can i do to cure the HITH? Can I retreat with a higher dosage of metro? please help!

To be honest, I don't believe that once a fish has HITH you cannot make it go away. I sure hope I'm wrong.

I was told to use 1 gram of metro for every 20 gallons.
