    Question Changing Diet... How?

    Good afternoon All,

    Newbie here.

I have had my tank of discus for around 8-9 weeks now, all fish came from the same breeder who feeds exclusively on mussell.

But I would like to change this for them, but knowing how delicate these guys can be at times I don't want to just do a 100% swap on their diet and stress them out! Would this stress them out? Especially as I would say probably 5 of the 15 are not amazingly fussed about feeding and I have to err on the side of keeping them hungry to get them to eat the mussell well. Otherwise, and they're all very tame, they come to the front of the tank when they see me coming, they come right to the top but if they're not really hungry they'll just meander off and 20-30 minutes later I'm back with the net to clean the bottom.

What mixed diets do you guys find works best for growth and colour, and obviously to the discus's taste!?

I feed freeze dried blackworms, beef heart mix and a variety of pellets.

I would get the temp to about 86-88 to speed up their metabolism. They'll eventually take what you give them...
